Phoenix, Arizona, March 3, 2026 – Part of the proceeds from the 3rd Annual Mariachi and Folklore Festival, to be held this March 7 in Phoenix, Arizona, will be used to award three scholarships to previously selected students.
Vanessa Ramirez, President of CALLE of Arizona, a non-profit organization, said that this is an annual event that has been held since 1997, along with its founders, community leaders Joe Garcia and Eddie Encinas. Their vision of cultural pride and community empowerment continues to inspire our work today. Three scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded. The winners will be announced and recognized at the 3rd Annual Phoenix Mariachi and Folklore Festival on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Herber Theater Center.

Our mission goes beyond organizing Mariachi and Folklore events. We create opportunities for young people to develop leadership skills, benefit from education, and take pride in their cultural heritage. Through music, dance, and cultural celebrations, we unite people, foster connections, and enrich the vibrant essence of the Phoenix Valley.

At C.A.L.L.E. of Arizona, we believe that education is key to a better future. Each year, we dedicate a portion of the proceeds from our annual event to the C.A.L.L.E. of Arizona Scholarship Fund, providing opportunities for students committed to making a difference in the Latino community. This year, we are proud to welcome PAK Home Realty as a new partner in our mission to support local youth. Their generous contribution will help us expand our impact and reach more deserving students.
